Lacking 03:07
Well I’ve been thinking as I stand beside my box How bad it is that all that you can think of is that fox But I’ve been drinking from a tall and brittle tin And I’ve found myself predicaments from life and from within I don’t have no job, my money’s tight and I just wanna cry All that I can think of is I’m sad and I don’t know why I try to think of what it is that makes me feel so bad What do I have a lack of, will nothing make me glad? A lack of heart A lack of hate A lack of standing up to anyone who gets up in my face I’m not too smart Ain’t got no soul A lack of standing up in front of you, and feeling in control It’s been a while now since I left this haunted house It’s been a lifetime since I've been here hiding, frightened as a mouse But I’ve been drinking from this tall and brittle tin And I’ve got this sinking feeling, I wanna throw it in the bin I don’t have no job, my money’s tight and all I wanna do is cry All that I can think of is I’m sad and I don’t know why I try to think of what it is that makes me feel so bad What do I have a lack of, will nothing make me glad? A lack of heart A lack of hate A lack of standing up to anyone who gets up in my face I’m not too smart Ain’t got no soul A lack of standing up in front of you, and feeling in control

Gone are the days, where I could pick you up from where you’re hiding Gone are the days when I could force a hug n ask why you’re crying Long Gone are the times when I could hold your hand or laugh beside you You’re not at home anymore, because you’re fighting for yourself now and not me I felt blocked from the path, from the path that you and I were travelling There were two men at the gate, arms folded, you’re the only one they let in I called out your name and you couldn't understand why I could not follow I was pushed to the floor, with no agenda but to make you hollow Chorus: Meet me tonight, far beyond the chimes of midnight And the frozen London back-light And see if we might – sit alone and make amends to The silent studied friends whom we chose Oh time will heal, it can heal a broken brain cell, change the falling rain to fell And come over here, you are only my illusion – a mask to my confusion I didn't care – and now I’m trying to understand why my life cannot make time fly I’m drinking with fear that you well never bring me back there Chorus: Meet me tonight, far beyond the chimes of midnight And the frozen London back-light And see if we might – sit alone and make amends to The silent studied friends whom we chose (x2) I could never bring you back, never, never bring you back - not now people are stood in my way. I keep holding up the flag, holding up the flag – wheeled away on castors, forgetting all the laughter you bring (x2) Chorus: Meet me tonight, far beyond the chimes of midnight And the frozen London back-light And see if we might – sit alone and make amends to The silent studied friends whom we chose (x2)

The Button 03:54
If this is a past time, a helping had through the tunnels in my life, well, Pass me the glass let’s hit the bar… I know that maybe I’ll be seventy years old and wheezing in my wheelchair, well, If I can’t look back then I’ll just die… You are the button that I can’t press Cause you do it yourself you’re so damn unpredictable I couldn’t ask for more but I could ask for less And I know that that might make me a fool People spread words like fire, they’re always so predictable But give me your mind, I won’t think twice I know that maybe I’ll be seventy years old and wheezing in my wheelchair, well, If I can’t look back then I’ll just die… You are the button that I can’t press Cause you do it yourself you’re so damn unpredictable I couldn’t ask for more but I could ask for less And I know that that might make me a fool Yes I know that that might make me a fool (x4)

There’s a solid gold charm in the end of a day When the storm it settles and the world gets paid With the love of a girl and the holding of a hand And a man decides upon a grain of sand And the rain falls down on my window pane When you’re held indoors, you just go insane And the tone of my voice well it carried so well On the day that the raindrops heavily fell And the sweet soft lips of the beautiful girl Who I left on her doorstep so that we could unfurl Will utter the words of my name when I’m here And then we can stop crying those beautiful tears It’s a poser when you’re lost in the arms of the show And you sing like a lark and let everyone know You have come with a head screwed on tighter than before And you laugh in the face of your rusty old chores I am climbing the branches of this beautiful tree The clear blue sky looks faded to me I am panting and gasping with the blackest of lungs But the long fall down is just part of the fun (x2) On the day that the raindrops here heavily fell My smile will always remember that spell It’s just time that I climbed with a little more strength Just to test this body to the lengths of extent (x2)

The stars are yours for a little while I'll take you to your room Surrender your sweet smile I wanna see your smiling face Wanna take you to the moon Want to give you space Talk to me when you're on the road Please don't think I'm gone Let the words unfold Hold me close let's just be nice Let's just have a go Don't put me on the ice Time is short Love is for lovers and love is all our fault Lovers for love… Lovers for love, and what's mine is yours Take this to your car I'll wait for your applause Help me out, whisper my name Is there nothing we could do? Is it really such a shame? The stars are mine just for tonight I'm gonna hold you in my arms oh, so very tight and when it's time it's time to go Oh, no baby, don't go home I've got all this love to show Time’s too short Love is for lovers and love is all our fault Lovers for love... Time is short Love is for lovers and love is all our fault Lovers for love... Lovers for love...
